Dennis Ballinger is the founder of WhatDog Music. He has played Guitar for many years and beats on the keys occasionally. In his younger years he took guitar lessons for a few months. In college is when he really started to play guitar and learned from friends and plays mainly by ear. Singing lead is a new endeavor.

WhatDog music is hard to categorize to a specific genre. The first CD “Cut Loose and Let Go”, yet to be released, covers a range from a semi classical “Rain”, light rock, “Cut Loose and Let Go”, to a country flavor of “When Angels Cry”. As the genre is not limited, neither is the content. The lyrics weave feelings ranging from love, disgust, rage, to, contentment.

The name, well let’s just say it’s a long story but has nothing to do with the dawg thing.
